Production 9/10
This course teaches students the basics of video production. It includes the an introduction to camera operation, framing, audio, lighting, stodyboarding, reporting and news gathering.
Students will be creating their own video projects, editing them on professional standard editing software. Students will also get an introduction to live television production.
It is a “hands-on” course with much practical training, group work, and critique sessions.
The Hurricane Studioworks Academy is for any student interested in any type of media, whether it be on camera or behind the scenes. The academy has also developed a partnership with BCIT’s Television Production Program which means students who successfully complete the Hurricane Studioworks Academy Program will receive preferred entrance into BCIT’s program.
