Hurricane Studioworks is a program at Rick Hansen
Secondary School that features two types of studio
media: Broadcasting and Audio Recording.
Semester One focuses on Television and Video Production with two broadcasts per week to the student body. These broadcasts include important announcements, school highlights, sports scores and highlights, and special interest stories.
Semester Two focusses on Recording Arts which includes two streams: performance or studio technician. The performers learn the basics of how to make a quality recording of their work and the technicians learn the intricacies of using high end recording and computer equipment in order to assist the performer in creating quality work.
